This past week, I’ve been reflecting on the small comforts that make this season special, and the conversations that shape the way we work and live. Lately, I’ve rediscovered a delicate, savory custard that has been a winter favorite for generations. It’s simple, yet it carries so much tradition and care. And, it’s super easy to make (especially with an Instapot!) I’ve also been thinking about how we communicate at work, especially across cultures. Sometimes, what’s most important isn’t what’s said, it’s what’s left unsaid. Another theme close to my heart is wellness. In a recently published interview, I shared thoughts on how Japan’s workplaces can evolve to become healthier and more human. And of course, winter wouldn’t be complete without roasted chestnuts! From street vendors to cozy kitchens, they’re more than a snack, they’re a ritual that warms the soul. It’s amazing to think this is already edition 25 of this newsletter!
