I’m always amazed at how much I can learn from reading a book. This week, learning about the difficulties faced by Japanese-American families in the 20th century was truly an eye-opener. What I love even more is that when I posted this story, both familiar faces and new contacts reached out to share their family’s experiences. It transformed what was once ‘just a history subject’ into something deeply real and personal. I cherish the connections I make by posting on my blog. While it can be daunting to put yourself out there, I’ve generally received more positive responses than negative ones. In my Wednesday blog for example, I mentioned that networking is instrumental for gaining clients or even finding a new job. However, my true motivation for networking is the chance to meet fascinating people and exchange ideas. So, don’t hesitate to go out there and meet new people and learn new things!
