This week was full of celebrations, not only the 4th of July (today!) but also Canada Day on July 1st which happens to coincide with our 9th wedding anniversary. Surviving (and thriving!) during 9 Years of international marriage was definitely not a box-ticking exercise, but it has enriched my life in many unexpected ways. Overall, this week I feel incredibly grateful to be living the life I live with the person I love. Although the weather both here and in Japan has been hot, I feel grateful that I can go out early in the morning for my daily walk at my local reservoir, and that my spouse puts yummy food on the table at night.
