So much happened that didn’t even make it into the blog posts! I attended a 送別会 (sōbetsukai, or farewell party) of a teacher/mentor/friend who’s heading back to Tokyo after 4 odd years in the Bay Area, where he helped build the GLOBIS USA MBA program. Just last night, I also joined an HR networking event and met several people with ties to Japan—unsurprisingly, we had mutual connections. The world really is small sometimes!
