I was planning to take it easy but alas life had other plans. Compared to when I was living and working in Japan, you could say that my life is easier because I’m no longer tied to a fixed employer and can mostly decide my own schedule. Unfortunately, working for and by myself also means that I’m the one person responsible for fixing things when they go wrong! Case in point: I now have a beautiful new website with additional features because my last provider let me down, but it did cost me a lot of time working late to figure out website design and code and the like. The good thing about doing this extra work is that it got me thinking about my presence on the web and how to be present without spending all my time posting and reposting.
