One of the things I love about writing each week is discovering connections I wasn't looking for.

This week started with Tanabata wishes, moved into a national debate about working mothers in Japan, and ended with an architectural landmark that still makes me laugh every time I see it.

Somehow, all three turned into a reflection on visibility and perspective.
