Watch if you like it dark(er): Sanctuary (on Netflix)

I watched this series a while ago and I was in 2 minds about sharing it with you because I'm still not sure if I really liked it or not. Compared to the Little Miss Sumo documentary I wrote about a few weeks ago, this is definitely dark(er).

uary follows a young guy trying to escape his rough past as he sets out to become a sumo wrestler. It's beautifully filmed but very raw, and as annoying as the character was in the beginning I did begin to feel sorry for him after a while and ended up rooting for him to break the cycle of violence and bad luck he seemed to be in. Definitely good acting showing the evolution of the character from street thug to dedicated rikishi!

As far as language learning goes, lots of colorful language nsfw 😂

So, make sure no kids are present and be aware that watching a lot of violence may not be the best choice for a relaxing long weekend!
