Your next read or listen: There's No Such Thing as an Easy Job by Kikuko Tsumura
I’ve really enjoyed listening to this book, which follows a woman who takes on a series of temporary jobs after suffering a burnout. In spite of asking her job coach for easy assignments and the jobs do look simple at the start they all come with their own quirks and challenges.
From recognizable office politics to a touch of mystery and wonder, the stories kept me engaged and guessing as to what would come next. The main character is relatable, and her self-reflections as she experiences the jobs and realizations were fun as well as enlightening.
This book definitely took me away from my own day-to-day struggles, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a thoughtful yet light read!
